![]() About Guitar Tuition Online
What's going on with this site?
I've been meaning to redo the site for a long time now but have never really had the time and I decided that I needed to make things easier on myself and get a site editing tool (up until that point I'd been doing everything with EditPlus.) So you are now staring at a site recreated using Macromedia's Dreamweaver 3.0. Although I am still editing the HTML code by hand for the most, I am taking full advantage of the site management facilities to create templates and library objects for reuse throughout the site. Hopefully this will mean that I can add new articles to the site on a far more frequent basis from now on.. Who is this site aimed at?
If you like guitar then you are at the right place. It is primarily aimed at beginning players but I am hoping to add more advanced articles on request. I have been playing for over ten years and play rock, blues and jazz mostly. The site is aimed at electric guitars but I may do some specific acoustic or fingerpicking lessons. I will try and cover some practical aspects of theory that I hope everyone can understand and apply in real world situations. I am mostly looking at chord/scale relationships that should help with composition and improvisation. Can I write for this site?
If you wish to submit an article for the site then please email me first to discuss a subject and how you will approach it. I may be already planning to do a similar article and we may be able to combine the two or run them back to back. I may wish to edit articles submitted, however I will send these back to the author and between us we will come to a compromise before it is put on the site. When do you update this site?
Not very often to be honest.. I am hoping to be more punctual in the future. I will try and have at least one new article a month and gradually add something new every week. Obviously guest authors will help me get more content on here... |
